T.I.G Welding Machine

The machine concept

Tig welding (Tungsten Inert Gas welding) is probably the most versatile arc welding process. It’s less complex to master, but it can be a slow process. Tig welders also tend to be more expensive.

There are two types of Tig welding equipment:

  • DC output welding current (cost-effective method used for most applications including the Tig welding of steel, stainless steel and copper)
  • AC/DC output welding current (more costly method used for Tig welding aluminium and aluminium alloys.
  • TIG welding works by striking an arc between a tungsten Tig welding electrode and the workpiece. A separate Tig welding filler wire can be added to the weld pool as necessary.

    M.I.G Welding Machine

    The machine concept

    Mig welding (Metal Inert Gas Welding) or Mag welding (Metal Active Gas Welding) is the most popular of all the arc welding processes, mainly because of its ease and versatility.

    An arc is struck between a continuously fed Mig welding filler wire and the workpiece. The arc is protected from oxidisation by pouring a shielding gas over the weld pool. The type of gas depends on material and quality required.

    We use two methods of metal transfer from the welding filler wire to the workpiece:

  • 1.Dip transfer
  • 2.Spray transfer
